About HCA

Harbor City Art is a curated, member-based art gallery and teaching studio devoted to displaying original local artwork, fostering creative community, and facilitating lifelong learning for adults.

Focused, Small-Group Art Instruction

We believe art is not only for the naturally gifted or professionally trained. It is for anyone who feels the pull to make, learn, and grow — whether just beginning or returning to creativity later in life.

Our focus is on high-quality, small-group adult classes taught by experienced local artists and educators in a calm, supportive setting—allowing for real instruction, conversation, and mentorship rather than crowded classrooms or assembly-line workshops.

Whether you are a beginner or returning to art after many years, our classes are designed to be welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely instructional.

The woman in the middle is wearing a blue top and a colorful skirt. The woman on the right is wearing a white jacket with black accents.

Learn — Create — Connect

Beyond classes, Harbor City Art is a place to gather — where artists, art lovers, and students can build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow creatively together.

Through rotating exhibitions, demonstrations, and artist talks, we create opportunities for conversation, discovery, and shared appreciation of art.

Founded by an Educator

Harbor City Art was founded by educator Georgina Olsen, a former Brevard County Schools teacher and librarian with over three decades of experience in education.

After retiring from the classroom, Gina searched for a place that offered serious instruction alongside genuine creative community for adults—and could not find one. Harbor City Art was created to fill that gap: a space shaped by an educator’s values, where creativity, teaching, mentorship, and human connection come first.

Gina’s background in public education continues to shape Harbor City Art’s commitment to accessible, community-based adult learning.
