This month’s artist demo: We’re thrilled to feature Carol Crotts, who will be giving a live demo of her beautiful pine needle basketry. Using techniques that go back centuries, Carol carefully coils, stitches, and shapes longleaf pine needles into intricate baskets that are both functional and stunning. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind—blending natural materials, textures, and patterns into something that feels timeless. Watching Carol work is like watching history, nature, and artistry come together in real time. You’ll leave with a new appreciation for this traditional craft (and maybe a little inspiration to try something new yourself!).
