Watercolor Florals Workshop with Dolly Koliba

Thank you for registering for the Watercolor Florals Workshop at Harbor City Art.

To make the most of our time together, please complete the sketch transfer before class. A PDF of the floral reference sketch is provided below. Print the sketch and transfer it to your watercolor paper using carbon transfer paper. Once transferred, tape your watercolor paper to a backing board and bring it ready to paint.

Supply List

Watercolor Paints

  • Yellow Light or Aureolin

  • Cobalt Blue

  • Ultramarine Blue

  • Neutral Tint

  • Burnt Sienna

  • Quinacridone Rose

  • Quinacridone Magenta

Brushes

  • Size 2 round brush (or any very pointed round brush)

  • Medium round brush

  • 1” flat brush

Miscellaneous Supplies

  • Masking fluid

  • 140 lb watercolor paper (100% cotton preferred)

  • Backing board (such as Gator Board)

  • Masking tape or painter’s tape

  • Two water containers

  • Kleenex or paper towels

  • Toothpicks

  • Carbon transfer paper

Before Class

Please:

  1. Print the reference sketch provided below.

  2. Transfer the sketch onto your watercolor paper.

  3. Tape your paper securely to a backing board.

  4. Bring all supplies listed above.

Arriving with your sketch already transferred will allow more time for painting, color mixing, and instruction during the workshop.
