Barbara Fine

Barbara Fine has been an artist her entire life, beginning with a BFA in Fine Arts from CW Post College, LIU in New York. After relocating to Brevard County in 1999, she became deeply involved in the local arts community—serving as Assistant Program Administrator for EGAD in Melbourne and teaching Graphic Art in Brevard Schools for over a decade. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Graphic Artist at Harris Corp. and several other local businesses.

Now retired, Barbara devotes her time to mosaic art, with a passion for transforming surfboards into one-of-a-kind, coastal-inspired works. Each piece incorporates natural materials gathered from the local environment—beach glass, sand, shells, and more—celebrating the textures and colors of Florida’s shoreline.

Her surfboards are more than decorative objects; they are vibrant, unique mosaics that reflect a direct connection to the coastal landscape and the community she has called home for more than 25 years.
