Linda Neal
Linda Neal is an accomplished watercolor artist and instructor with a background in portraiture, having spent 20 years on the juried art show circuit across Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida. After relocating to Florida, she sought a new challenge and discovered watercolor—a medium that at first seemed unmanageable compared to the control of oils, charcoals, and pastels. That initial frustration soon turned to determination, then deep passion, as she fell in love with the unpredictable flow and luminous transparency of watercolor.
For the past 24 years, Linda has shared that passion by teaching watercolor classes throughout Brevard County, wherever a group is eager to learn. Her process begins with a loose, wet underpainting on 300 lb. Cold Press Arches paper, gradually building layers of detail through intuitive brushwork, wet-into-wet techniques, and thoughtful masking.
Linda paints to capture emotion, light, and beauty—but above all, she paints for the bliss; it’s who and what she is. Through both her artwork and her teaching, she invites others to experience the joy and magic of watercolor.
