Handbuilt Pottery | 4 Sessions | Saturdays May 9-May 30 | 10:00 AM–12:00PM
Join us in our garden pottery studio and learn to work with clay in a calm, small-group setting designed for steady skill-building and individual guidance.
This class is offered as a four-session beginning hand-building pottery class. Students are introduced to essential hand-built pottery techniques — pinch, coil, and slab construction — then continue developing personal projects with one-on-one instruction at their own pace.
The class reflects the natural rhythm of a working pottery studio: some students may be building, others refining, texturing, or glazing, while each receives individual support throughout the session. Rather than following identical projects, students develop forms and ideas that interest them, whether functional, decorative, or sculptural.
The emphasis is on building transferable skills and confidence with clay — techniques students can continue using independently or through future Open Studio sessions at Harbor City Art.
