Handbuilt Pottery | 4 Weeks | Thursday, August 6, 13, 20, 27 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Discover the creative possibilities of handbuilt pottery in a relaxed studio with just four students per class. You’ll receive personalized instruction while learning essential hand-building techniques and creating functional or decorative pieces that reflect your own interests and creative style. Because each student works on individual projects, the class is designed to be enjoyed again and again as your skills grow.
Learn essential hand-building techniques—including pinch, coil, and slab construction—then apply those skills to functional, decorative, or sculptural pieces. Rather than following identical assignments, you’ll create projects of your own choosing with guidance tailored to your experience and interests.
Class sessions reflect the natural rhythm of a working pottery studio. While some students build new pieces, others refine, texture, glaze, or finish previous work, creating a welcoming environment where beginners and returning students learn alongside one another.
Whether you’re new to clay or have previous hand-building experience, you’ll progress at your own pace while exploring new techniques and creative ideas. Many students return month after month, continuing to build their skills and creating something new with every session.
All materials, glazes and firing included.
By registering for this class, participants acknowledge and agree to Harbor City Art Studio Policies.
