Intermediate & Advanced Watercolor — 6-Week Series | Tuesdays, Mar 3–Apr 7, 2026 | 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
Ready to take your watercolor skills further?
This intermediate to advanced watercolor class with Harbor City Art artist Linda Neal is designed for students who already understand the basics and want to deepen their technique, confidence, and personal style.
Together, you’ll explore more advanced approaches to composition, color harmony, value control, and expressive mark-making. Linda guides students in developing stronger paintings through thoughtful design, layering, edge control, and purposeful use of texture and light. Demonstrations and individualized feedback help each artist push beyond habits and refine their own voice in watercolor.
Expect exploration of advanced techniques such as glazing, lifting, negative painting, atmospheric effects, and combining controlled and spontaneous passages to create dynamic, luminous work. Students are encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and move toward more intentional artistic decisions.
This class offers a supportive studio atmosphere where experienced painters can grow through practice, discussion, and constructive critique.
