Acrylic & Oil Painting for Beginners & Beyond — 4-Week Series with HCA Artist Barbara Kraemer

Ready to explore the world of acrylic or oil painting but not sure where to start? Or already painting and ready to strengthen your skills, confidence, and personal style? This relaxed, hands-on studio class with HCA artist Barbara Kraemer is designed for adult painters at all levels—from true beginners to returning and continuing students.

With a small class size (4–6 students), instruction is personalized and adaptable. Beginners receive clear, step-by-step foundations, while returning students are supported in building depth, technique, and individual voice—making this an ideal course to take more than once as your skills evolve.

Over four weeks, you’ll strengthen core painting skills that apply to every medium and subject: understanding materials, how acrylics and oils behave, observation, value, color relationships, and confident brushwork. Barbara works with each student at their level, providing tailored guidance throughout the course.
