If you can color, you can paint with glass!
In this fun, easygoing two-hour workshop, you’ll create an original 4 × 6-inch glass artwork using colorful glass frit, slender stringers and a variety of precut glass shapes.
We’ll have plenty of holiday templates available, including Christmas trees, cardinals, poinsettias and other seasonal designs. But you are welcome to paint anything you like! Choose from our coastal, floral, fall and nature-inspired templates, bring a simple idea of your own, or skip the template entirely and allow your design to develop as you work.
Simply place your selected template beneath the clear glass and begin filling it with color—much like coloring in a coloring book, only with glass. We’ll show you how to place the frit, add lines and details, and bring your design together.
No drawing ability or glass experience is needed. This relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop is all about playing with color, enjoying the process and creating something uniquely yours.
After class, your artwork will be fired in the kiln, permanently fusing the loose glass into a glossy finished design. Your completed piece will be ready to display on a small easel or hang in a sunny window.
Finished size: 4 × 6 inches. Choose clear glass hangers or a small clear easel for displaying your finished piece.
All materials and kiln firing included. Fired pieces will be available for pickup the following Saturday.
