Art Glass Heart Workshop - Saturday, February 7, 2026, 11:00AM–12:30PM
Before you know it, Valentine’s Day will be here — the perfect time to create a gorgeous handmade gift from the heart. Join Harbor City Art Glass Artist Delynn Ellis for a fun Make-Your-Own Valentine workshop on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM–12:30 PM.
In this hands-on class, you’ll choose your own colors and design up to THREE fused glass hearts (each approximately 2½” wide). Make beachy sunset hearts, passionate red hearts, ocean blues, or any custom palette your imagination inspires.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of cutting and designing with kiln-ready art glass. Your finished pieces will be fired off-site in a professional kiln and returned the following week — just in time for Valentine’s gifting.
No experience is required. All supplies are included, along with hanging bails and ribbon so you can turn each heart into an ornament. Optional garden stakes or small frames will be available for purchase in class ($2–$5).
You’ll Learn
Fundamentals of cast-glass fusing
Understanding color values in glass
How to cut and handle art glass safely
Basics of composition and glass design
Ways to combine your glass hearts with other materials
What’s Included
A variety of art glass colors
Heart molds for shaping
All cutting and embellishing tools
Step-by-step instruction from Delynn
Design guidance and inspiration
One bail and ribbon per heart
A fun, relaxed, supportive creative atmosphere
