Wearable Art: Polymer Clay Earrings Workshop
Discover the joy of turning simple materials into expressive, wearable works of art in this beginner-friendly polymer clay earring workshop led by artist Sheryl Blais.
With over 30 years of artistic experience—Sheryl brings both creativity and warmth to her teaching. Now semi-retired, she’s excited to share her love for polymer clay and inspire new makers to dive in and create something beautiful by hand.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn:
How to condition, roll, and shape polymer clay using cutters, rollers, and tissue blades
Techniques for adding texture and dimension with pin tools and pliers
How to apply mica powders to give your earrings that extra shimmer and visual pop
Finishing touches: baking your creations, then assembling them with jump rings, earring hooks, and optional embellishments
You’ll have about 30 minutes of downtime while your earrings bake—perfect for a break to browse the gallery or to chat with fellow creatives. Then, you’ll complete your pair and head home wearing your new, handmade wearable artistic creation!
Choose from a variety of sample earring styles (photos will be provided in class), and make them uniquely your own.
Whether you’re brand new to polymer clay or simply curious to try a new medium in a supportive studio environment, this workshop offers a fun, accessible way to explore your creativity.
